  Y-filter is an indispensable filter device in the pipeline system of converying media,Y-fliers are usually installed on the inlet end of pressur reducing valves,pressure relief valves,constant level valves or other equipment.It is used to remove impurities in the medium to preotect the normal use of valves and equipment.Y-filter has the characteristics of advanced structure,low resistance,convenient blowdown and so on.Y-filter applicable media can be water,oil,gas.Generally,the water network is 18~30 mesh,the ventilation network is 10~100 mesh,the oil net is 100~480 mesh.The basket filter is mainlt composed of a nozzle,a filter basket,a flange,a flange cover and fasteners.When the liquid passes through the tube and into the filter basket,the solid impurity particles are blocked in the filter basket,while the clean fluid passes through the filter basket and is discharged through the filter outlet.

1.Determine the installation position.Y-fliter should usually be installed at the entry point of the piping system to capture particles and impurities in the fluid.
2.Close valves on related components.Bofore installation,to avoid fluid flow,the valves of the relevant parts should be closed.
3.Clean and prepare pipes.Clean and prepare the pipe with appropriate tools to ensure that its surface is free of dirt and impurities.
4.Clean the surface of the threaded connection.Clear the threaded connection surfaces of all pipes with an appropriate cleaning agent,such as pipe sealant or Teflon tape,prior to installation,at the same time,note that the end thread is not processed to avoid sealant or Teflon tape entering the pipeline system.

 

5.Connect the filter.Align the Y-filter with the pipe interface and slowly insert it into the pipe.Use appropriate tools to tighten the filter to the pipe interface to ensure a tight connection and avoid water leakage.
6.Check the installation quality.After installation,reopen the valve to allow fluid flow.Check the connection area for water leakage to ensure that the filter can work properly.
7.For certain types of pipes,such as steam or gas pipes,the orientation of the screen may be different.The screen of the liquid pipe is ususlly installed downward,while the screen of the gas pipe is installed horizontally.

2.What's the temperature and pressure for valves?
For metal seat, temperature range from -196ºC to 425ºC. For soft seat ball valve, temperature range from -196ºC to 200ºC. Pressure range from PN6 to PN420(150LB~2500LB).

3.What's the materials of valves?

No, ball valves only can not use for regulating, it is a kind of isolating valve.

7.What are the quarter turn valves?
Ball valve, Butterfly Valve, and Plug valve are rotary motion control valves. They just need a quarter turn to come into action.

8.What's the direction of valves?
Ball Valve and gate valve are bi-directional valves, globe valve, check valve and y strainer have arrow on valve body to indicate direction.

9.What's the difference between rising stem and non-rising stem of gate valve?
The rising stem gate valve can be seen from the appearance whether the valve is closed or open. The lead screw can be seen while the non-rising stem gate valve can not. Non-rising stem gate valve handwheel will go and up when rotate handwheel, rising stem gate valve will not. And The rising stem gate valve requires a larger installation space because of the stem; the height of the Non-rising stem gate valve is small, and it will not take up too much space during installation.

10.What's the difference of gate valve and globe valve?
Gate valve is bi-directional valve, globe valve in single way valve and has fixed direction when install. And globe valve has better sealing than gate valve, when globe valve close, fluid medium add pressure on disc to keep better sealing. Gate Valve wedge is parallel with flange, when close, both side fluid medium add pressure on wedge.


11.Check Valve Introduce
Check Valve is unidirectional valve, also called one way valve, non-return valve. Because medium flow decide its direction. It has swing type, lift type(piston and ball), vertical type, butterfly type. Wafer type check valve has three types, spring return type, single disc type and double disc type.
